Movement for Greater Government Transparency Gains Steam

While transparency legislation has advanced in the statehouse, Illinois citizens are also taking the bull by the horns for more open, accountable government on the local level. 

Adam Andrezejewski, executive director of For the Good of Illinois, is a statewide leader for transparency and is working for greater openness in school districts about the state.  His goal:  open books in our school districts, with all check registers posted online–a simple, straightforward reform that can be done at minimal cost.
