Transparency Passes at the State Level!

Transparency bill HB35 passes both houses!

It’s a good day for Illinois — Rep. Mike Tryon’s transparency bill, HB35, has passed both houses — getting through the Senate unanimously after passing through the House unanimously on April 2, 2009.

Illinois may just be on the road to better days! Transparency provides a substantial, initial step for fostering more accountability, ethical behavior, and public trust in elected officials here in Illinois.

Illinois has taken a step in the right direction by passing this legislation.
