Blue Island Candidate Signs Pledge
Allan Stevo, currently a candidate for City Clerk in Blue Island, recently signed the Open Illinois Transparency Pledge. Mr. Stevo has previously held elected office as an alderman, but decided to run for City Clerk because he wants to invoke transparency.
“Right now, [residents] are mostly kept in the dark as to how their tax dollars are being appropriated, spent, and/or wasted.”
Mr. Stevo pledges, if elected, to put the city check register for all transactions online for easy viewing. We send our thanks and appreciation to Mr. Stevo for pledging to open up government one city at a time across Illinois.
