DuPage County Seeking Transparency

The DuPage County Board is seeking to put a cap on corporate contributions to political campaigns as a means to end pay-for-play politics in Illinois. Any company that donates more than a set amount to a county campaign will not receive a contract from DuPage. This measure is supported by the county’s Ad-Hoc Committee on Government Transparency and Accountability.
“The goal is to make DuPage County the most transparent and accessible government in the state.”
The reform would also require making the budget process more accessible to the public as well as posting all county expenses online
