Transparency Causes Traffic

After Liberty Leader, Brian Costin, started a new program of putting notes online before Schaumburg Village meetings, more people have visited the site and online traffic increased significantly. In just a matter of days, interested residents were logging on to check meeting notes and expenditure listings.
Costin’s effort of transparency is welcomed by residents and regarded as a resource for information. The postings include FOIA information, campaign contributions from companies that do business with the Village, and upcoming events.
This Liberty Leader’s work is a perfect example of government transparency initiated and supported by locals.
